The W streak continues! If at first you don’t succeed, pay resell. While I try to keep that to a limit, the atmos x Air Max 1 “Elephant” have been a grail of mine since its original release in 2007.
I’ve looked for so long, posted on many Canadian sneakers groups, and after zero success, I pulled the trigger on stayfresh.ca. I don’t even want to mention how much it was. Never have I spent this much money on a pair of sneakers, but do I regret it? Heck no. I’ve saved specifically for so long to finally grab them when the opportunity arose.
Nike, that money could have gone to you, easily covering 2-3 pairs.
I won’t get too much into the details of its aesthetics. By now, you’ve probably seen and read everything you needed on this pair.
What you see is what you get: a black suede upper, soft white leather on the toe box, the famous elephant print on the mudguard and ankle area, hits of jade on the branding stitched on the hell and tongue, white midsole, black outsole, and finally a patent finish Swoosh on the lateral sides.
Comfort & Fit
They feel like most Air Max 1s. They’re comfy.
You can easily get with going half a size down, however for people with wide feet, I would go TTS.
After many years, I got them. I could cry right now. But I won’t. They’re just shoes. While I paid a resell price, I don’t regret it one bit. It’s just a shame Nike decided to release these in limited quantity after all the hoopla of voting last year.
