It’s been over a month since I purchased my first Nike Air VaporMax in the BETRUE colourway. Having worn them often and breaking them in, they’ve turned into one of my most comfortable sneakers. The VaporMax is lightweight and provides great support if you’re on your feet for long hours.
Breaking them in the first few days might be something to get used to, but they get comfier by the day.
It is for all the above reasons that I couldn’t help but to purchase the recently released colourway in black & anthracite.
Unlike NikeLab’s triple black model, these ones have specks of anthracite on black covering the Flyknit upper and a semi-opaque black bubble unit contrarily to the full blackout look on NikeLab’s colourway.
In true Flyknit fashion, the upper hugs your feet nicely, providing great comfort. You’ll also find hyperfuse technology wrapping the back-half for extra durability and reinforcement in the heel.
This new Air technology completely eliminates the midsoles. You have bubble units sectioned into two parts: one cover the forefoot, and the other on the heel.
Comfort & Fit
Going true to size is recommended. In my case, with having one wide foot, the fit is perfect and feels very comfortable. So go TTS.
Some people have mentioned it’s awkward at first when you first walk in them – as in you can sort of feel a rough transition from heel to toe. This does ring true, however you quickly get used to it, and as you keep on wearing them, it feels like the bubble units adjusts to you.
If you have the chance to grab a pair, do it. They’re neck-breakers if you’re into style, and they’re highly comfortable if you’re the type to walk everywhere.
My girlfriend also have a pair! She loves them just as much as I do, stating they’re her favourite to wear due to their comfort.
